Paras Defence and Space Technologies has signed a technology transfer agreement with India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to produce Driver Night Sight systems for the T-90 tank.

Under the agreement, Paras Defence will work with the DRDO to accelerate the deployment of advanced night vision solutions to improve mobility and operational safety for tank crews.

While specific technical and financial details have not been disclosed, the deal is the latest in Paras Defence’s growing role in supplying high-reliability defense technologies to India’s armed forces.

The company has previously secured contracts for optronic systems in submarines and anti-drone applications, highlighting its expanding footprint in the defense sector.

The T-90 Tank

The T-90 is a main battle tank originally developed by Russia.

Known for its robust armor, powerful 125mm smoothbore gun, and advanced fire-control systems, the T-90 has been the backbone of India’s armored capabilities since its induction in the late 1990s.

Beyond India, variants of the T-90 are in service in countries such as Russia, Algeria, and Azerbaijan, and it has seen combat in several conflicts, demonstrating resilience in varied terrains and operational conditions.
