Thales, Renault Develop 4x4 Tactical Vehicle That Can Control UAVs and UGVs

Thales has joined forces with Renault Group to transform a 4x4 platform into what they describe as a “fully functional mobile command center” for unmanned systems.

The “4 TROOP” prototype is designed to operate and coordinate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) by acting as a command-and-control node.

It can be reconfigured to meet different land-force requirements, with Thales’ Combat Digital Platform providing secure communications, tactical connectivity, and decision-support functions.
