Developed by Northrop Grumman, the B-21 is an incoming sixth-generation stealth bomber that will carry conventional and nuclear warheads for deep and extended-range airstrikes.
Conti’s work will be located at Ellsworth Air Force Base’s B-21 Alert Facility, providing secure quarters for crews tied to the fleet’s fast-paced operations and management.
The future barracks will encompass a 22,000-square-foot (2,044-square-meter) area with a single-story design and an auxiliary hub for an Aerospace Ground Equipment unit assisting related alert operations.
The Florida-based company is scheduled to finalize the site by November 2028.
“This award represents an important milestone as we continue supporting the B-21 Raider Program at Ellsworth Air Force Base,” said Edward Novak, project executive at Conti Federal.
“Earning our ninth project reflects the trust our customer has placed in our team and our ability to consistently deliver complex, mission-critical facilities that support national defense.”
The construction deal comes amid Conti’s parallel work to expand the B-21 beddown at Ellsworth.
Efforts handled by the firm include the development of a simulator hub, fuel cell and phase maintenance hangars, a radio frequency station, and a weapons loader training hub.
