A Washington DC-based AI company backed by a team of US Navy veterans has received seed funding to expand its product line and services for maritime defense.
A Washington DC-based AI company backed by a team of US Navy veterans has received seed funding to expand its product line and services for maritime defense.
Founded in 2021, Spear AI develops edge-deployable AI tools designed for undersea surveillance, domain awareness, and tactical decision-making. Its core product, Horizon, processes real-time acoustic and sensor data from naval systems to enable rapid, AI-driven insights across submarines and surface vessels.
It also offers Forerunner, a real-time inference engine that runs AI models directly on deployed platforms, and Omega, an onboard simulation suite.
