Leonardo Brings Full Counter-Drone Kill Chain to Maritime Platforms

An integrated system from Leonardo DRS could give naval vessels a full counter-drone capability, with its Maritime Mission Equipment Package (M-MEP) now being embedded into maritime platforms.

The system is designed for rapid integration across both crewed and uncrewed vessels, enabling the detection, identification, and engagement of unmanned threats in one capability.

M-MEP combines maritime radars and electro-optical/infrared sensors to detect inbound drone threats, distinguishing whether they are individual units or a simultaneous swarm.
