The deal brings together Bay Galata and Kraken Marine Industries, which will deliver the vessels under a joint business model.
The agreement adds to Ankara’s growing foreign military sales, which have surpassed $10 billion across air, land, and naval systems.
Of that record, Turkish shipbuilders have expanded their global reach with corvettes, patrol vessels, autonomous systems, and naval combat systems.
Included in Bay Galata’s current portfolio are its flagship TUZOQ counter-drone suite, drone-seeker ammunition, surveillance and targeting solutions, and armored personnel carriers.
Promoting Capacity, Expanding Market Reach
According to the NATO country, the milestone highlights its homegrown products as affordable alternatives covering training, sustainment services, and potential localization incentives in a field dominated by European and American suppliers.
Officials also view the recent sale as a foothold for further naval exports across Southeast Asia, as it supports demands amid rising maritime security concerns such as piracy, trafficking, and poaching in the region.
