The US has used one-way attack USVs in combat for the first time, striking a submarine and ship maintenance facility at Iran's Bandar Abbas Naval Base.
The US has used one-way attack unmanned surface vessels (USVs) in combat for the first time, striking a submarine and ship maintenance facility at Iran's Bandar Abbas Naval Base.
Video released by US Central Command (CENTCOM) showed three Corsair USVs damaging the port facility during the operation.
The strike marked the Corsair's combat debut. The platform had previously been used in Middle East rescue operations, including the recovery of two crew members from a downed Apache helicopter.
