One Stop Systems has signed a $1.3-million contract to supply the US Navy with ruggedized high-speed data recorders for shipboard integration.

One Stop Systems (OSS) has signed a $1.3-million contract to supply the US Navy with ruggedized high-speed data recorders for shipboard integration.

Under the contract, the California-based technology firm will supply its proprietary Gen5 short-depth servers designed to sustain network connections at speeds over 50 gigabytes per second without losing data.

The systems feature quick-swappable storage canisters, enabling sailors to rapidly offload recorded material rather than removing individual drives.

Initial deliveries are scheduled in 2026, with potential follow-on purchases projected at $2.5 million over the next four years.

The recipient will be the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division – Dam Neck Activity in Virginia, responsible for cyber engineering, training systems development, and systems support for surface combatants.

‘Valuable’ Partnership

Mike Knowles, CEO and president of OSS, said the award expands the company’s footprint across defense research organizations as the Pentagon explores the adoption of modern cyber and storage solutions. 

"Capturing network traffic at these speeds without losing data is critical to how the Navy evaluates its systems and detects threats and is exactly what our platforms are purpose built to meet," Knowles stated.

“We believe these early engagements are particularly valuable because they position OSS alongside customers… to support programs as they transition from initial deployment to broader production.”

The deal follows OSS’ separate military project earlier this year to equip the US Army with rugged computer capabilities for a complete panoramic view of the battlefield.

The company also partnered with the US Missile Defense Agency for the delivery of computer accelerator systems in support of artificial intelligence-enabled radar simulations.
