US firm nLIGHT is working to counter emerging airborne threats in contested environments with HADES, a new high-energy laser system designed to deliver 70 kilowatts of power.
Lightweight by design, the weapon features coherent beam combination, high-energy beam directors, and advanced atmospheric correction to maintain accuracy in complex operational conditions.
It incorporates advanced tracking technology to improve target identification and can be easily operated by troops in the field for sustained mission availability.
