WRAP Technologies has raised $12 million to expand its WrapShield platform into defense, federal, enterprise, and international security markets.
WRAP Technologies has raised $12 million to expand its WrapShield platform into defense, federal, enterprise, and international security markets.
The company said the growth capital will support working capital, technology development, strategic partnerships, talent acquisition, and the commercialization of WrapShield, its integrated platform for threat detection, decision support, and response across public safety and defense applications.
“We are building WRAP for a world in which the lines between public safety, national security and defense are disappearing,” CEO Scot Cohen said.
The company also plans to deepen its presence in the US federal defense market through WRAP Federal, a structure designed to pursue government contracts and related funding opportunities.
Defense Firms Expand Through Fresh Capital
WRAP joins a growing list of defense technology companies that have raised significant funding to expand manufacturing, autonomous systems, and national security capabilities.
In August, UK-based Cambridge Aerospace raised $300 million to scale air defense manufacturing and develop new systems for Britain and allied customers, while California's Aurelius Systems secured $40 million to expand production of its directed-energy counter-drone platform and strengthen its manufacturing supply chain.
Earlier, in July, Array Labs raised $21 million in a funding round led by Mitsubishi Electric alongside a partnership to develop satellite-based aircraft and maritime tracking services for defense customers across the Asia-Pacific region.
